Restaurants

A note/disclaimer about the content on this page: I am not a restaurant or food critic. I just enjoy good food. If I’ve gone to a restaurant and really enjoyed the experience, I like to write about it. As E.M. Forster once said, “How can I know what I think until I see what I say [or write]?” I may write about it after the first experience, or I might write about it after several trips. Regardless, as I said, it’s because I enjoyed it, and I want to mull it over and share my experience with others. I do not consider these restaurant reviews, and neither should you.

  1. Great Blog, EB. Next time you are in DC, we HAVE to eat together… or maybe the next time I come to Pittsburgh we can work it in. Tomorrow night I will be taking my son for his 17th birthday to Cafe Atlantico, one of Jose Andres’ masterpieces, and coincidentally he won the Outstanding Chef Award from the James Beard Foundation the other night. w

    • Thanks, Eric! I didn’t know you were a food nerd too! I’ll let you know the next time I’m in DC, and maybe we can get together. I am so jealous of you and your son – Jose Andres is so great, and I’d love to try one of his restaurants sometime. I’m sure you will enjoy Cafe Atlantico!
